A Week in New York City

I arrived at New York from New Jersey at the evening. It was very cold. I was shivering to death! I didn't expect the weather to be this cold :(.

We got to the hotel & decided to sleep to get ready for the next day.

Day 1

On our first day, we went planned to use the water taxi to get around New York. We purchased the All Day Access Pass. It costs $31 for adults & $19 for children.

The water taxi passes by The Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop by the island. However, it slows down and goes close to the statue so tourists will be able to take pictures.

We decided to go off Pier 1 & visit Brooklyn.

Then we decided to have lunch at Shake Shack because it was recommended to us. I ordered the Shack Burger with fries & it tasted delicious! One of the best fastfood burgers I have tried.

After our lunch, we walked around & took pictures. Then we got on the water taxi again to visit Battery Park.

We walked for a while to reach One World Observatory.

Once you arrive, you will be able to see two holes(?) and the names of those who died from the 9/11 terrorist attack are written at the edges.

Afterwards, we got back to the water taxi & went back to our hotel & called it a day.

Day 2

On our 2nd day we decided to try the hop on hop off bus Downtown route . Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take much pictures. We visited SOHO & NOHO to go shopping.

Day 3

This time, we decided to try the Uptown route of the hop-on-hop-off bus. We were able to visit different museums.

We first visited the American Museum of Natural History. The museum was gigantic. We weren't able to go through the whole place.

Afterwards, we went back to the bus & we passed by the Cathedral of St. John Divine.

Our next stop was the Museum of the City of New York. It was not that big but the design of the building inside is beautiful. We were able to go inside all the rooms.

Our last destination for the day is Central Park. The ticket we got for the hop-on-hop-off bus included a free bike ride for 1 hour .

Sadly, we were only able to bike for a while because the rain started pouring heavily. We returned our bikes to the bike rental & decided to go back to the hotel & call it a day.

Day 4

On our 4th day we didn't do much. We just visited the Intrepid. We used the subway to get to our location.

Day 5

On our 5th day, we walked around Time's Square to pass time while waiting for The Lion King Musical. My relatives recommended it was a nice one so we decided to watch it with them.

After the musical, we had a scrumptuous dinner in Carmine's. The waiting line was long but the wait was worth it. The food was really delicious!

For the remaining days, all we did was walk around New York & shop for souvenirs.
